Looks cool. I had never seen those systems before either, but the front chainring idea makes a lot of sense. :thumbsup:

i have seen the rim brake before, on city bikes from maybe the 80's or so. Nothing really special there except wearing. Friction would be so great that I doubt weather would effect the braking power at all.

I want to say that a few years (2-10years, memories getting foggy about this minutia) ago at interbike there was a bike that used a similar chainring idea and a belt drive but it used a reverse system in the back so as the front grew the rear shrunk and vice versa. Cool system that work with the belt and didn't use a IGH.
