Strava thinks that this segment is only 0.1 mile long, while according to Google it is about 0.7 mile long. Because if this discrepancy, Strava underestimates everyone's speed by a huge factor. The entire leaderboard is 8-9 mph KOM contenders. All that sweat and effort just to end up clocked and listed at 9mph.

Hilarious... Sort of...

Found a similar segment on a mut that was a "category 5" climb, while the trail was completely level

There is quite a few of those all over the place... likely early segments created with dicey gps phones. I know there is a totally flat segment near me that strava thinks is 20% gradient with KOM in the upper 20's mph..
