I want to take a single speed and convert it back to a 10 speed. I have a centaur crankset, square taper, that I need to remove. I did too good a job securing it to the bb. It's stuck - frozen. Anybody know how to unfreeze it without using a torch? Well, maybe a hairdryer is OK.

What's frozen, the bottom bracket to the bike or the crank arms to the spindle?

If crank arms to spindle, like Mike T says. If BB to bike, what type BB, fixed and adjustable cups or splined cups? If splined cups insert the tool using a breaker bar and tap the tool into the BB with hammer while exerting force on the breaker bar. If adjustable cup and fixed cup, which cup is stuck?

Sometimes if it can be tightened a hair more and that will break the seal allowing it to be removed.
