Looking for a single speed, disc brake, steel CX frame with 135 dropout. Have a $600 budget for frame, so that rules out most of the custom options. Only plan on running a 32ish size tire.


I've seen the voodoo, but 130 spacing is a no go. Those true blood frames are incredible, but spendy.

Vassago makes the fisticuff, but I don't need spacing for monster truck tires. And it's ugly. And heavy.

Origin 8 has that new CX700, but it's a pig, and I've read of some quality control issues.

Am I stuck with a geared frame with chain tensioner?

I'm not sure which cross frames have 135 spacing, but you can buy an ENO hub and make all your dreams of SS come true.

If you are going with a steel frame, you can re-space the dropout to meet your needs.

I have a voodoo agwe, which is pretty much the same as their monstercross bike the Nakisi but with less clearance. The agwe is steel, cheap, has track dropouts w/ der hanger, but unfortunately no disc tabs.

The Soma doesn't look to be SS without a tensioner. The Surly has semi-horizontal dropouts I believe.

132.5mm rear spacing, but that will work with 135mm hubs.
