I will keep this short and sweet...

You love cycling. You want to see more cycling.
So buy sh!t from companies that sponsor cycling!!!

And after you buy it, talk to the manager or whomever and tell them that you would have bought this at so and so for less, but you bought it from them because they support cycling! Then tell that person to tell his bosses the reason that you and all your buddies shop with them!!!

DO IT!

That's why I got a Motorola cell phone on T-Mobile while drinking a Big Gulp at 7-11.

In college I watched Soap Opera's in the student union between classes and had the same philosophy on buying goods advertised during the shows. I was buying Tide and Tampons like crazy...I became good friends with one of the cashiers at the store and she finally asked..."Tom, what do you do with all this stuff?"

I told her I worked in a coal mine and made fake explosives in my free time.

I just booked a flight to Astana, Kazakhstan.

An interesting bit of trivia. The word "Astana" in Kazakh means "capital." Huh.

How many people ran out and bought a Saab (built by aircraft engineers, you know!) after the TdF a few years ago?

**crickets**

Yeah, that's what I thought.

I tried but the dealer in KC wanted to start the upward bidding at $3k above msrp. Forget that...but then again I ended up with a GM that's worthless after 2 years.

GM owns Saab so you would've been stuck with one either way. All better now? :p :D
