Alex P. Keaton!! Wear it like a good republican :).

We have two guys who wear them. Ones a geeky little dude who they look silly on. The other guy is a big, buff, ex football player. I'm not going to tell him they look silly.

Is it better or worse than the "Business Mullet"?

Justin Timberlake can't even pull it off!!!

Though I really liked the whole formal vest trend that was cool a while back.

A business mullet is pretty bad on anyone over 22 who doesn't work at Google. But a sweater vest, particularly a pin-striped version is much worse, because it's a little bit of the past that has forced itself across the space-time continuum, uninvited, into the present.

If you wait a while though, someone will find a forgotten container of them on a dock in Qingdao, ship them to The Gap and they will come back into style.

You could consider yourself on the tip of a trend?

It sounds like one of those clothing items to wear when you are in a bad mood.
You wear it
everyone smiles at you
it cheers you up.

I'm def over 22 (but under 30!), and I do not work for google (I did get an interview though!)

I am not the tip of the trend, i have never been a trendsetter, I'm just a dork in a cubicle, who apparently everyone is making fun of. Works for me :)

It seems the votes are almost unanimous, the lounge nays have it.
Im going to issue a signing statement.
I'm going to keep wearing it. :D

You might want to consider buttoning the top button on your shirt and wearing a bow tie with that sweater vest. Then you co-workers really will be laughing.

+ eleven.

if you're going to rock the sweater vest, don't stop halfway. Getcha some JoeDaddio frames to go with it, and tassel loafers with argyle socks.

Yea, yea, sort of a bahstard love child cloned from the spliced DNA of Senator Paul Simon and Mr. Rogers and carried to term by Ugly Betty.

They must have a couple of vials of that stuff frozen somewhere.

Back in the day, when I was growing up on Pangaea and sloshing to school across the mudflats at the edge of a warm and shallow Mesozoic sea, I thought Dickeys were pretty cool.

All the flair of a sophisticated turtleneck look without the bulk.

Perhaps some things should never have gone out of style.

Good thing there are no coworkers here today...well maybe a few, but they tend to stay away from my corner. I dont have a bow tie, but I do have a tie I got from a coworker this year:
