Tarry: to remain or stay, as in a place; sojourn.

Often used in conjunction with another fun old word, shan't.

Also fyi, dictionary.com was recently found to be one of the most privacy-intrusive websites, loading up visitor browsers with dozens of cookies and tracking beacons, some of which are linked to malware.

People actually use dictionary.com? If I need a word defined, I go to Google and type "define: tarry," which usually gives me a page full of results. I prefer to let those Google bastards go to dictionary.com and get jacked up.

By the way, one of their entries says "Members must utter the word "allelujah" over and over again once a year, on Pentecostal Day, until they go into convulsions. ..." HTH.
