Want to follow the route in realtime? Then checkout http://www.gearthblog.com/blog/archives/2006/05/tour_de_france.html and follow the link on the page to 2006 TdF course.

Needless to say, you need to have google earth loaded on your PC.

I've only played with it a little. Check the stages on the left window and double click to zoom to that spot.
