Redlands, CA - As well as Saturday's criterium went for Team TIBCO/To the Top, Sunday was a reminder that sometimes, your best efforts don't always deliver the desired results.

With Rebecca Much and Brooke Miller sitting 3rd and 4th overall coming into the final stage, and several more riders within striking distance of race leader Ina Teutenberg (HTC-Columbia), Team TIBCO fired salvo after salvo in an attempt to get one of its higher-placed riders away and up the general classification.

Despite their efforts, only U.S. National Road Champion Meredith Miller was able to finish with the front group of 11 riders, taking 7th on the stage and finishing 8th overall.

"We had a number of riders well-placed on GC coming into today and we wanted to try and move higher," said team directeur sportif Emma Rickards. "Everyone rode really well, but it was just a hard day."

Five Team TIBCO came across the line in the 12-rider group that finished a bit more than 3:20 behind stage winner Evelyn Stevens (HTC-Columbia). In addition to Meredith Miller, Much, Brooke Miller, Amanda Miller, Joanne Kiesanowski and Kristen LaSasso all finished in the top 20 overall.
