Can't wait to see this train wreck. Should be Oscar or Razzie potential, maybe both.

The American movie audience is not very discerning, and Stallone & Co have been advertising the living heck out of this thing.

It'll probably have a boffo first week at the box office, and then fade hard from there.

If you go to see this movie you know exactly what you are going to get. It's not like they're going for an oscar. They just want to blow people in half. I saw it on opening day!

Horrible story? Check. Bad acting? Check. Wanna be "emotional scene?" Check.

Landing a flying punch to the face of a bad guy who is on fire? Check mate.

I'll take these crappy action movies all day long. I long for the return of the 80's cheesy action flick. More, please.

I think nostalgia can be overrated sometimes. But... here ya go, even if it's technically a cheesy early '90s action flick.

Saw it too .. with my wife! She liked it ... I loved it, very much the throwback I was expecting. Today I pay for dragging my wife to the expendables by being dragged to eat pray love

did you see the movie JCVD?

it was awesome

van damme would not have made the movie better, he would have been a nice addition, but it would not have improved the 80s action movie vibe

however, if seagal had been in it then that would have been impressive, but I don't think seagal does enough steroids to make the cut

edit: it was sad watching stallone run on his old man legs, I felt bad for his knees

Saw it Friday, was all I expected it to be and nothing more.
Is there a current generation of action stars or have they been replaced with Vampires and Werewolves?

[JCVD] declined being in the movie because he's "showing admirable dedication to the purity of his craft."

Van Damme? Craft? Who'da thunk it?
I know... I read that a day or two ago and laughed my ass off.

That Belgian idiot wouldn't know 'craft' if it came up and bit him on the arse.

And he still owes me eight bucks for Double Team... wotta colossal waste of celluloid.

Sure. They're just better actors all the way around. Russel Crowe, Dwayne Johnson, Daniel Craig, Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale (ok, she played a vampire but she still kicked ass)... even Jason Statham. Those are just the ones that come immediately to mind.
