James Thomas of the Bicycle Design blog introduces us to the “Trek Stop”, a convenience store for bikers… Ever had a flat tire on your bike during your morning commute to work but when you stop by the bike shop it’s not open yet? Well here’s some promising news for those avid bikers you can’t afford to use the “I got a flat tire” excuse anymore. Trek has designed a vending machine for small bike repairs; you can put air in your tires, buy a new tube, chain lube, re-energize with an energy bar, hydrate with a water bottle and more! Their testing out the “Trek Stop” now in Madison, Wisconsin so keep an eye out for it and hopefully soon enough we’ll be able to stop by the bike vending machine in cities around the country!

The link ( note: The Site went down yesterday, not sure why)

The site must be temporarily down. It was working earlier. I guess news speads fast and everyone is checking this out and is sucking up the bandwidth.
