I think he means this one: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/bik/1860553085.html

That very well could be a paint mar. Have to see it in person. Still, it's way overpriced.
Now if it's this one I'd be very uncomfortable with it. "inventory damage" or "skidded down the road" I don't much care which it is (it very well could have been either). But, if you look at the front of the dropout where the "scratch" continues there appears to have been damage to the aluminum (it appears sheared flat rather than nicely rounded). That's a good amount of force regardless of where/with what it happened.

If you can lay hands on it and it's paint only, and the dropout is fine (it looks structurally fine, but damage to the aluminum will give you an idea of force elsewhere too...) then maybe...

Not me though, that kind of scratch....could have been a minor incident that will never cause a problem...could have been something fairly major and you have no good way of knowing.

(and yea....way over priced for that kind of damage)

Thanks to all and sorry for the confusion on the link, I must have copied the whole page and not the specific ad. It is the bike that JoelS found.

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb/bik/1860553085.html
Just looked at it again and that's not the original fork either.

Now maybe he bought only the frame, but the ad does say "bought this bike".

It just looks fishy to me. 2008 bike supposedly bought "new" in 2010 with pretty nasty looking "inventory" scratches on it that could easily be road rash + an aftermarket fork. Could be legit, but it really looks like it could have been crashed too in which case someone isn't being honest.
