I would have put the crank arm below the two gears facing downward, but that would probably be too obvious.

That's pretty cool. We had one place, Deux Gros Nez and it's related race, that had a great cycling culture to it. But unfortunately the owner shut it down to pursue making the race and tour more of a priority :(.

The men's isn't as immediately obvious as the ladies, but the one cog positioned slightly lower than the other made me laugh.

Yeah. They are quite the bar. Wide. Shallow drop. I can ride in the drop and have great reach/control of STI's. They work great on singletrack as well. I really like them. Had to get a stem to make them work - needed longer stem with a higher rise.
