I'm in the process of replacing pedals on my 'cross and mountain bikes, and was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the Time ATAC XS and the ATAC XS Carbon. From what I can tell, the difference is black vs. gray, about $50 and 15 grams, and nothing else. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Until recently, the XS did not have the tension adjustment screw like the carbons do,.The newest XS now have the screw,so make sure you are getting those if it matters to you.

I learned, quite by accident that you can bend the forward spring to increase or decrease tension.I hooked one on a rock and bent the spring, and discovered that the amount I bent it back affected the entry/release.

Note that the XE version does not have the adjustment, and I think it uses a bushing instead of bearings.
