Hey all - I'm in Denmark for a couple of months for work. Since the first 4 stages of the Giro are being held in Belgium, I thought it would be a great opportunity to take in my first professional cycling race.

What sort of tips would you all give? How many days early should I arrive - what sort of action will there be for me to check out? How many hours before the start of the prologue? I believe we are planning on getting a hotel in Brussels - looks like all the stage start/finishes are within 1 hour drive from there. Will it be worthwhile to bring my bike? (this vacation won't entirely be devoted to the Giro - we'll do some other siteseeing as well - wife and child in tow).

Thanks in advance for all your input!!
