I'd pump up to 80. Any less and you'll be running the risk of pinch-flats; flats due to the tire compressing against the rim and pinching the tube, causing 2 nice little "snakebites."

Agree in principle, but you could experiment...

In general, at your weight, I'd go toward the top of the range (I weigh 240, and that's what I do; works fine). You don't mention the tire size, but if you need more cush on a rough surface or just because, you could experiment by letting out five psi at a time. At some point you'll hit something and get a pinch flat (hole on each side of the tube from the rim pinching it, also called a "snakebite"). Then go up 5 psi and ride.
I run my MB tires, 2.1s, at 60 or so most of the time, but I sometimes go as low as 43-45 when I need more cushioning or flotation.

The Boardwalk comes with 700x32C tires. I'd try them at 70PSI and see how they feel.
