I used to hear a lot about Topolini wheels but now never do, what's the deal with them? Seems like you can get them fairly cheap now. They any good?

I think you mean Topolino wheels?

I've got a set of the CX 2.0 and have been real happy with em'. I was looking for a light clincher that would smooth out the chipseal roads and these things have been great. Very smooth on rough roads and they accelerate and climb real well, also a very good cornering wheel.

I've had em' a year with no problems. I saw a few sets on some of the custom bikes at the handmade bike show here in Portland, one was on a tandem. I also know one guy who uses them for cyclocross.

they are light and comfortable.

bearing adjustment is very finicky...most i know run with a tiny bit of lateral play.

the spokes are *all* part of a single assembly, including 1/2 of the hub shell. break one and you will have to replace the whole mess.
