This is my first time watching this event. Seems like a cool weekend of cycling. In fact, I just saw a Kenda sponsored pro team on their training ride on Route 22 in Bridgewater, NJ. I hope no one gets hit by a car on these NJ roads. :p

In addition to the Tour of Somerville on Memorial Day and other crits this weekend, there's the Hills of Somerset race on Saturday. It's a 77 mile road race with a field of 120 riders and an escort of just about every police cruiser in the county. Probably the closest thing we have around here to an professional open road race. I have the route mapped out here, and I plan to get out and shortcut the route to catch the race at 6 or 7 spots.

Opted to do a club ride up in Warren County instead. By pure coincidence, some of the guys from Team Kenda were on the ride. They showed us some mercy and didn't push the pace. At least until we got to Montana Mountain. Then all bets were off.
