Hey guys,

This is my first post here, as I bought a Trek 1.5 over the weekend. The first ride after I got the bike back from my LBS, my chain snapped in half less than 100 yards from my house. The chain was in line with both gears, so there was no unusual strain on the chain at all. My question is, should my LBS cover this and install a new chain on the bike? Or will I be liable even though it was my first ride and I have had the bike for 2 days?

Thanks guys, all fixed up free of charge, they were really good about it. Finally I get to ride my new bike! I took it out last night and so far I am very impressed with it.
