After TRUVATIV was bought out by SRAM in its consolidation moves, the former owner/engineer signed an agreement to not engage in developing similar products for three years. That was three years ago and they are now setting up shop nearby the old factory to begin production on cranks and bottom brackets...and other accessories. I don't know the name of the venture, but I'm curious what they'll produce.

The rings were always the biggest issue (and I spent 8 years as a bike mechanic so I saw it a lot). They never shifted as well and Shimano or RaceFace rings and tended to wear out much quicker. I also saw a lot of chain suck issues with them.

The crankarms themselves seemed fine and once I switched out to RF rings on my own personal bikes, they worked great...but if I was buying new cranks, I would want ones that had good chainrings as well.
