Would an Aluminum TT/Tri Frame be usable as a road bike?
Got a offer to sell me a new frame cheap and just didn't know if it was usable.
I ride mostly bike paths and a little on the road.
Thanks
Bob
It depends on the geometry. A true tri bike would have a 78 degree seat tube angle, a slack head tube and a very short head tube. All of which would make it uncomfortable as a road bike with STI shifters. If it is a road frame pretending to be a tri frame, no problem.
