I now have two sets of wheels that I run trubeless on and will never go back (actually 1 1/2 till Mavic finishes the work on my recalled r-sys premium front wheel) . I will tell you that my wheels that were made for tubeless (dura ace) hold air better than the mavics with Stans. I think buying tubeless specific wheels is the better way to go. If you put about 2 oz of stans in those, you'll be able to do 7 day tours without adding air--not so with the mavics with twice that amount of stans. They required the typical minimum of every other day or more.

I used to have a lot of flats and tubeless has eliminated that problem.
