I just picked up a set of wheels with Tune hubs and noticed when installing a Campy cassette that there seems to be quite a bit of rotational slop in the cogs. Is this normal for a Tune freehub. The wheels are like new and there were very few marks on the freehub body.

With the lockring tightened?

Normal.

First, with the lockring loosened, rotate all the cassette cogs so they are up against the splines (clockwise). You can lightly snug down the lockring so when you line up the cogs they don't keep moving. Then torque down the lockring to 40Nm. Proper torque is important. Many times the lockring is not tight enough.

I stumbled upon that same advice in another forum while doing a search. Still seems odd that they make em that way. Anyhow, thanks again for the reply.

Less material makes them lighter. The removed all that was not necessary for proper engagement.
