I'll be at the IronMan. Probably on the metric route.
IronCrotch is the East Siders alternative, correct? For those who don't want to make it to Lakeville by 6:30am wait in a registration line then ride with 3000 people on their first pedal stroke of the year, and pay $45.00 bucks for the pleasure....then go ride the IronCrotch with 300 for almost nothing, that's starts closer to your house. Accurate summary?
You would probably have to leave your place between 4:00 and 5:00 to get out ahead of the crowd on the Ironman ride. If you left much after that it would be a ride of "on your left" for 5 hours.
IronCrotch is limited to 175 riders and only costs $7. It's done on the roads around Osceola, WI and sponsored by County Cycle out of Roseville. Don't know about the IronMan but the "Crotch" sounds more appealing to me (in a twisted sort of way).
