I just got a new bike with Ultegra SL. Whomever it was that set up the bars put the brake hoods in the wrong spot for me. When pulling up the brake hood cover it appears that the way to loosen the assembly in order to move it on the bars is different than my old 105groupo. I tried to download the appropriate tech doc from shimano but it wouldn't open on my computer. Can anyone help me out before I have to resort to taking the to the LBS?

Not Ultegra, but same principle. If you look closely at your shifter body, a small indentation marks the 5 mm wrench insertion point.
