RoadBikeReview's Take

Adventure and mixed surface riding is gaining in popularity. Even many road events are peppering in dirt sections. To match the more rugged terrain, it's a good idea to bring along a quality multi-tool. Unior's MultiTool Euro 17 has, you guessed it, 17 tools designed to keep you rolling after a mid-ride mechanical.

For leverage on the chain tool, the valve core remover is used as a handle.

The tool list includes 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8mm Allen keys, Torx 10 and 25, 3.3, 3.45 and DT spoke wrenches, a chain tool, Presta and Schrader valve core remover, #1 Phillips and 1.0x5mm flathead screwdrivers. Cleverly, you remove the valve core remover and thread it into the chain tool body for leverage. Each bit has a chrome-plated shank and black-oxide coated tips for increased corrosion resistance, durability, and tight tolerances.

At nearly three inches long and just over two inches wide the MultiTool Euro 17 is larger than many other multi-tools, but I would argue that it also makes it more usable. Often tiny micro-tools can't access recessed bolt heads or provide enough leverage for removing pedals. Unior's Euro 17 doesn't suffer from either scenario. Even if you don't want to carry the Euro 17 at all times, it's a great tool to have in your car or travel tool kit.

Unior MultiTool Euro 17

Unior shies away from dainty, ultralight designs on the Euro 17, instead emphasizing utility.

At $40 Unior's Euro 17 sits on the more expensive end of the multi-tool spectrum, but the quality merits the price. The MultiTool Euro 17 should last for many, many years.
