Does anyone remember the En-Flite bike rack? It was a car trunk rack that required you to remove front wheel and put front fork in quick release. Back wheel was simply strapped down. Bikes were aerodynamic and had absolutely no sway or banging together. And you could see them in your rear view mirror.

I cannot find a similar rack these days. It was a great design. Does anyone know of similar design for a car trunk rack?

See if you can find a Rhode Gear Euro Shuttle. I've been using one for 10 years. It holds two bikes from the drop-outs, and front tires with staps. Used it in the FL sun for 5 years and never had anything go wrong. I paid $139 but I don't think the have made it for quite a while so you might have to eBay to find one. Good luck.
