I have the option (out of necessity) to buy a used bike between $650-$850. Right now I have three options on the table:

2011 Giant Defy 1 w/ new 105
2005 Merckx Team w/ DA 9 spd
Lemond Versailles w/ 105 old 10

All are in great condition. I want the best bang for my buck, so Im going used. Kinda leaning towards the Merckx, but not sure if I can turn down 10 speed.

I wouldn't turn down the 10 speed. More cog, more combo options. I would go with the LeMond since it's a carbon frame, smoother ride.
