With the 2015 WorldTour race season well underway, it's time to take a look at the bikes and gear that will propel the fastest men on two wheels as they roar across the roads of Europe and beyond. Some notable tidbits include the fact that SRAM has its components spec'd on just one team, Ag2r, meaning the French squad will be the only ones riding the U.S. company's new wireless electronic shifting drivetrain, which has been spotted in prototype form but not fully unveiled as of yet.
On the other end of the spectrum, Specialized continues to be the most prolific bike sponsor, providing race machines to three teams (Tinkoff-Saxo, Astana and Etixx-Quick Step). Also of note are the rampant rumors that FSA will be diving headlong into the full groupset game with its own electronic wireless shifting system, which we can expect to see first on the bikes of Etixx-Quick Step and Tinkoff-Saxo.
Of course Shimano still dominates the drivetrain game, providing shifting mechanisms for a full dozen teams. Finally, gone for now from the WorldTour are Colnago and Cervelo, who each lost their teams.
