Ruffy Tuffys (28cc) are the greatest tire of all time.

The Vredstein fortezzas are nice- they look the part and they roll nice and smooth- especially the 25s. They're pretty light, so they're probably not too puncture resistant. But, I haven't flatted mine yet.

The Roly-poly/ruffy-tuffy from rivendell/panaracer is pretty nice- the ruffy-tuffy is bulletproof. I flatted mine once or twice in about 3,000 miles.

There's these, http://www.vintagebicyclepress.com/tireoffer.html which some folks swear by, but I have never tried - I'm too cheap. They're skinwalls, but again, I can't vouch for their ride or their durability.

There's also good old panaracer paselas- available in 28 to freaking huge... I'm running pasela TG 32s on my commuter and they are bomb-proof- 1500 miles or so and I have yet to get a flat.

Do a google search (Panaracer Pasela 700" and add the width you want.

There are RBR threads deveoted to Paselas.
