I have SE and other, maybe road. SE has slightly harsher ride kind of like a 66tpi (supercheap) vs 120tpi tire. SE tread profile less smooth/round. Road has tubular-like ride. I like both ride and appearance better than Continental clinchers

se = special edition

i'd bet that the "SE" stands for special edition, or something like that. i'm sure that's why Performance can call the tire an "exclusive" and why they can put the tire on sale all the time. from what i've read, the only real difference is the TPI count. i've bought several sets of the SE and they ride pretty well.
