The addition of color and new tracking features highlight the new Wahoo ELEMNT Roam.
Wahoo Fitness is adding a third cycling computer to its line. The Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM builds on the success of the original ELEMNT and compact BOLT with a color screen, longer battery life, and smart navigation features.

The Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM introduces features that users of the Bolt and original ELEMNT have wanted for years: the ability to create, retrace and modify routes on the fly.
Size of the Wahoo ELEMNT Roam is similar to the BOLT.
The ROAM's Smart Navigation can lead riders back to pre-loaded tracks if they take an unscheduled detour. It can also route them to the start of a saved route, retrace a route, and lead riders to saved locations. These new features make the Wahoo ELEMNT ROAM more appealing than its predecessors, particularly for use on gravel roads and singletrack. Additionally, Wahoo's companion app now supports integration with mountain bike mapping platforms MTB Projects and Singletracks.
Like its predecessors, the ROAM eschews a touchscreen in favor of buttons and the ability to integrate with Shimano Di2 auxiliary controls. The ROAM takes design cues from the BOLT in a larger platform, with a 2.7-inch color screen. Wahoo's color pallet is simple by design to provide the user with essential information without sensory overload.
If you get lost the Wahoo ELEMNT Roam can help you get found.
Endurance riders will be pleased with the ROAM's claimed run time of more than 17 hours. Actual performance will be affected by lighting, activity sensors such as heart rate, cadence and wattage, and location tracking.
As with Wahoo's other cycling computers, set-up is done through Wahoo's smartphone app for Android and iPhone. The companion app also lets users pair the ROAM with the rest of the Wahoo universe, including the TICKR heart rate monitor, KICKR smart trainers, and other ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors.
Like other Wahoo devices, the ELEMNT Roam can interface with a variety of outside devices, such as power meters.
Given the wealth of features, it should come as no surprise that the ROAM is positioned as Wahoo's premier cycling computer. The ELEMNT ROAM is available now and retails for 380, which is $80 more than the ELEMNT and $130 more than the BOLT.
