I haven't seen it yet, will watch the replay tonight but I understand the swedish goalie played the game of her life.

Cassie Campbell one of the Canadian forwards was just interviewed, said that the US and Canada play each other so much they have all become friends and they are hurting for their friends having lost so close a game.

Yes, Kim Martin (goaltender) was absolutely amazing in nets. The team seemed to play much better after the first goal, which to be honest was simply because of sloppy play by the American defenceman. It was a huge victory for Team Sweden because they had not won against the USA in 26 matches, and the only team to ever beat Team USA was Team Canada. Interesting stat, there are 65,000 female hockey players in Canada, 50,000 in the US and 3,000 here in Sweden. Overall, Team Sweden played flat in the first 35-45 minutes of the game, and then started playing better defensively. I really think that a good part of the US shot total came in the first half of the game. My sister just telephoned from Montreal to find out who I would be cheering for on Monday, to which I replied Canada, of course, but I would be very, very happy for Team Sweden if they were to pull off the ultimate surprise victory.

Unfortunately, I think in Men's hockey this year Russia takes it all.

They are playing like madmen. Number 18, Evgeni Malkin played here over Christmas at the World Junior Championships, that guy is simply amazing and I don't think he's even the best on their team.


I'd like to see Canada repeat for Gold, but I think Russia takes it.
