I'm starting to assemble bits for my custom bike that will be arriving in august (hopefully).

My original idea was to run TA pro vis cranks- they look right, they're extremely light, and in theory, they can be built up in almost any configuration imaginable.

But there's the rub- actually finding rings is hard, and VO 's prices are pretty steep. I've got a TA crankset, but to get the gearing I want means replacing both rings, which would pretty much double the cost of the crankset.

So, here's my question- any suggestions on a good looking 110 crank?

I don't want any of the modern shimano cranks (would look totally wrong) and I'm not a huge fan of sugino.

I'd love something that has the square look of a vintage crank with the function and available rings of a modern 110...

Personally I like the Sugino just fine. But since you're going custom, you should bling it out and post pictures for us.
