I'm wondering if the Avid BB7 Road disc brake requires special levers that pull a certain amount of cable?

I have a Bianchi roger and its got the bb7's paired to cane creek levers.

I'd like to try it out with riser bars and am thinking of getting the Paul Love lever but want to know if the combo would work first.

If you're going with flat bar levers, get ones that are compatible with cantilever (not V-) brakes.

Any "road" lever will do. I use TT brake levers with mine.

For the road version of the BB7, you'll need the Paul Canti Lever (or a compatible lever from another manufacturer).

I use Ultegra brifters. They've worked flawlessly for over 3000 miles so far.
