i just had this bike shipped to me. it had aftermarket Manitou decals on it which or course were not original. it does say Hamilton and New Mexico but they seem to have been rattle-canned on. obviously this is a quality frame. it's got really nice lugs and some fillet brazing. there is no serial number. i'm hoping some of you guys could give me a few good leads???

wow - that is nice lug work
i love the look of that frame
thanks. i've got my fingers crossed my woman will like the ride. it's 48cm and has pretty tight geometry. i found her a very old Moots once in her size and she turned her nose up. she's on a Centurion Ironman right now and loves it. thats cool i guess but i want her to love a custom American bike so i can enjoy looking at it as well. :D

OK, another bike forum guy answered the question. as it turns out there is a custom frame builder named Dave Hamilton in Albuqueque New Mexico. who'd have thought

dont think i'm crazy. the lettering on it has fish eyes and looks very amateur where the frame looked very professional. i'm just glad to know who built it. :cornut:
