We started just outside of Georgetown and picked a route avoiding as much of the morning rush hour as we could.

Kudos. Almost any weather is enjoyable if you dress for it. Rain ain't bad, except when it's around 32 degrees.

"Helmet covers by Motel 6" Love it! I have a couple of those myself.

I take it you like the Showers Pass jackets. I got one recently to take on my cross country ride this summer. Living in New Mexico I haven't gotten to try it out yet. Might have to test it in the shower at this rate.
