So, I have a '77 or so Centurion Super le Mans in beautiful condition. I'd like to keep it as original as possible, but I really need a longer stem. The stock one is around 80mm, and based on my measurements, I need one closer to 120mm on this particular (56 if I remember correctly) frame.

I checked e-bay, the only SR stem I saw was even shorter than the one I already have =). The stem is fairly simple, with large-ish SR lettering on each side with Forged written just below.

Any ideas? Other suggestions?

I bought a "77 Raleigh Professional a few years ago that had an SR stem, apparently original equipment, too. Super short! I swapped it out for a period-correct 105cm TTT stem.

Check Ebay. You might locate a longer stem. GB stems look a lot like the SR stems, too (SR probably was a copy of the GB's)
