I'm headed there for work the week of May 11-15th. Specifically I'll be staying in Burleson, and working right by the Alcon plant. I plan on bringing the singlespeed, I know there isn't much for mountain biking there.
I see group rides headed out occasionally, but not knowing the area I can't determine where they go.
Are there any hills or at least rolling terrain nearby? I have a race the following saturday, and I want to maintain some type of fitness while I'm on the road working.

I'm sure he'll be with you soon...

There are a few decent MTB trails in and around Dallas, but I live elsewhere, and will point you to MTBR's trail review section for Dallas:

Ha...

For mtn biking, check out these trails

420 Trails- it's not far from you

Samson Park

For paved surface, it's hard to beat Trinity Trails.. It's 60+ miles of paved trails and most are deserted during the week...While there aren't any hills, you can go as fast as you want. Anything listed in red is paved...It's very popular with cycists

There is some decent mountain biking here, Northshore and Samson park will be closest. Cleburne isn't too bad. Dinosaur Valley isn't to far from Cleburne either. Just depends on your time frame. More trails on the Dallas side of things.

Road wise the Trinity trails aren't too bad. If your in Burleson, 174 isnt a bad road. Bit of traffic, but plenty of median.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be able to sneak away during the work day for a few rides. Since it's close to a race I can taper off so I don't need too much time on the road.
