It is - even if you feel you need that particular cage. Easy to get it much cheaper.

It's 25g - light, but others are there or better for less.

My 36g cages cost $7. One percent OF one percent of my rolling weight difference, for $163.

Silly by any measure.

But these aren't about reason or practicality. They're jewelry (ugly jewelry, IMO, but whatever) and nothing more or less.

Cheap losers that don't have the fine taste and fat wallet for

this.

And the really sad thing? If you read the reviews below it, apparently the $160 Campy carbon water bottle cages break a lot.

Isn't it enough that they're totally fleecing someone already? Wow.

Yeah, if I'm going to pay $160 for a water bottle cage, it better be magic, last forever, and make me faster.

You can get two of these for half that price. Two seasons, no bottle ejections.

Andy69 has it right. I can't help but recall a customer asking me the weight difference between 2 similar cages one time. It was all I could do to not laugh in his face. I told him it was too insignificant too insignificant to worry about, but if he liked it, he should buy it.

+1000. Weight-weenism is getting way out of hand.

What's next? Someone 20 lbs overweight asking if a Ti bolt set that shaves 3 grams will make them faster? The marketing guys need a severe beating.
