I recently changed out the stock brake pads on my mavic SSC brakes for some new koolstop black pads for alu rims, but I don't like them as much as the mavic pads. They seem a bit spongy and don't bite as quickly as the mavic pads did. Maybe they just need a bit more wearing in, but I've already done a few hilly rides with them (5000m of decsending up to now), so they should be well worn in by now.

Does anyone know who makes the pads that mavic supply stock with their SSC brakes? They're the black ones for alu rims, not the pads that mavic also sells for their carbon rims. The alu pads aren't mentioned anywhere on their website.

Thanks, foz
