Wins an uphill ITT on Stage 16, single-handedly pulling back a break on a very hilly/mountainous Stage 18 of the Giro.

Boy, he really goes well after a rest day, huh?:rolleyes:

Sorry, just not believing what I'm seeing. I hate that about me.

in his defense, Garzeli was always a good climber, as good as top names in Giro, had a pretty good form in the spring, and by resting on specific days and losing chunks of time on GC he can really make sure to peak for specific days. Of course you may be right.

Yeah, I see your point and considered it. Just really suspicious of any huge efforts like this, this far into the race.
