So today, I competed/participated in the Xterra Black Diamond event, and found myself ever so humbled by all of it. Mountain biking vs road bike in a tri is quite a different world.
Swim(1k): 21:33
Ride(16mi): 2:01:59
Run(6mi): 1:12
Total 3:38:32, good for 76th overall, and 15/18 in my age group.
So running is not my thing, especially offroad running. But what an experience. I got passed so many damn times on the bike I started wondering if I'd be the last person to finish!! Still awsesome, and for any others that want to try an Xterra, I'd recommend it. Just make sure your upperbody is strong enough to take the abuse of the MTB course, cause mine sure wasn't.
