BUT I just formulated what promises to be an INCREDIBLE chain lube. Chainsaw bar lube...specially designed for chains spinning fast, under heavy loads. I used summer weight bar lube which is very viscous and at 30 degree teperatures, you can literally pull 3 foot strands off a dab of it. I thinned it lberally with zippo lighter fluid which is very volitile and evaporates fast. That way it can run into and under the rollers. I used some this afternoon for the first time and have never heard my drivetrain this quiet. I know it will attract dirt but I am fanatic about keeping the drive train clean ..so. I will keep you posted For reference, they also make a biodegradeable bar lube which is pricey , like 16 bucks a gallon.....pretty expensive for bar lube but dirt freaking cheap for chain lube (since I am adding about 25% thinning agent!)
