Now here's a "before and after."

Not to hijack the thread but......

By the way, very nice bike. Interesting to see anodized colored stuff coming back. Just hope it doesn't fade like a lot of the stuff from the early '90's.

to the OP: Why in the world did you wrap your chainstay? For that chainslap that fixies are known for? Seems that in the simplistic world of fixed gear bikes, or even singlespeeds, that you wouldn't want to complicate things with unnesessary parts.

Haha, funny. Good to see that someone else has a sense of humor also.

But on the off-beaten chance that you are being serious, why not just wrap maybe 2 inches of the chainstay and consistantly rest the chain on that one part when removing the rear wheel? Plus, you can call it "going green" since you won't use as much wrap, thus not causing the manufacturer to produce as much, preventing tons of toxic gases into our air for us to breathe when riding our bike.

Better yet he could hang the chain from a twig to protect his frame. That would be extra green! I'll be sure to contact cinelli and tell them to hold off a bit on manufacturing tape because I won't be buying any for a while.

No need to, I just sent them a text and, as soon as they got over their dissapointment, they kind of understood. To green we go...

Here are my transformations of my 1993 Litespeed Classic:

That's me in my early days when I was a porno star riding my Litespeed 8-speed Record.

The second photo shows the same bike with moustache bars, still running the 8-speed. By this time I shaved off my moustache and got out of the porno business but missed my moustache so I went with the bars.

The last photo shows my bike in its current dedicated SS mode.

bought on eBay, mostly OEM, no wheels, cheap...

after part-out & (re)build to suit...only thing original is the frame!
