As mentioned in other threads on here, 6 African guys are part of a Belgian reality TV show. It gets 30%+ of the Flemmish TV viewers at the time of broadcast.

Just found this website about them, some of it is in English.

Some of them have already managed to remain unlapped by the likes of Vervecken and Niels Albert. More than I ever managed, that's for sure. From what I read on the site, they seem to have problems with the tougher, muddier races.

Incredibly, they train themselves over the summer, and only head to Europe for the winter. They set up cycling clubs in their home country.

I'm a fan now. Hope they'll accomplish bigger things still in the coming years.

and with De Vlaemnick as coach

plus the fact that they were handpicked they should go far. There's an article on them in the new Cycle Sport America (from WCP) issue as well.

You can't help but cheer for them...It's nice to see the sport spreading that far, especially in a country where soccer is king.
