I have a set of 404 tubulars. I bought these to race Triathlons which I have not done since I moved to France 3 years ago.... I have not used my 404 in the last 3 years. So I decided to put them on my road bike on a regular basis now. What's the point of having these wheels if I do not ride them.

Now to my questions:

- I have Vittoria CX tubulars on them that are pretty new but it seems that the glue has dried up some. I guess it would make sense to re-glue them for safety.

- Do I need to buy new tubulars or can I just re-glue the old ones?

- How do I clean the carbon rim?

- Is there a step by step tutorial online on how to do this?

Thanks

I would remove the old tires and reglue them as long as the rubber hasn't dried out and is checked . I have been riding a pair or Nimble Crosswind carbon fibre wheels for the last 10 years. When I have lumpy old glue on the rim, I use naptha (lighter fluid) to soften and remove it. I hold the rim over a pie pan with the naptha in it and use steel wool to scrub the rim.
