Interesting, but even if I had the $$$, I am committed to the premise that I will never pay $4000 for wheels or $10,000 for a bicycle. You have to draw the line somewhere and some of these prices are getting ridiculous.

If the only market were rich dentists, lawyers and doctors Zipp would never have come to market with these. The truth is many of the buyers earn a fraction of the money and are spending sums that take months to save up because deep in their mind are hoping in the face of logic that these wheels will somehow make them faster.

$4,000 is a lot of money. I can't understand what these do so well that merit purchase over a pair of Enve's or Meilensteins, but more importantly why these should be purchased over a pair of Shimano Dura Ace C24's or Campagnola Neutron's both of which do an amazing job and cost a fraction of the price.
