My mom is going to france and i want her to bring me some cycling jerseys.
shes going to be there for 6 weeks so i guess it wouldnt ne hard to place an order online.

i only have like 2 jerseys ATM and i guess im looking for very cheap/cool stuff.
I could just send here to decathlon and she could find some stuff there.

i having been browsing tons of french online stores but im not so sure on where to get em.
so i thought i would post here to get some advice.
any ideas?

pd: i dont live in the states , so saving her the trouble and just order in the US wont work.

I've traveled to France quite a bit. I've been to various places with some extended stays. I'm always on the lookout for cycling gear. I've never really come across "the France" bike paraphernalia like I thought I would. When I do come across a shop it usually contains a limited selection of a few pro kits. I thought I would strike a cool local bike shop jersey or two. But no dice.

That said, maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. I hope you can score something that suits your interest.

Cheers.

A good friend moved to Belgium for 5 years and asked if wanted anything. I told him to try to find me local club jerseys and/or jackets rather than the usual "pro" stuff. He got me some great thermal jackets and jerseys and they were much less expensive. Best of all they were all Flemish language...sweet.

Perhaps she could check in with a local shop and besides looking around for the clothing they offer ask if they support a club or know of a club that could sell her some clothing.
I think the more obscure local club stuff is great.

In France kit is sold at sporting good stores, not necessarily at a bike shop. Bikes shops handle selling bikes and repairs. There are exceptions, but if you go to the larger sporting good stores you'll have better luck finding stuff. If you find a bike shop that is selling kit, ask if they sponsor a team. They sometimes will sell you a local jersey, but you have to ask. At least that has been my experience.

The only place in France where I have seen a lot of different bike jerseys for sale is in Bourg d'Oisans, at the base of Alpe d'Huez. Otherwise, the selection usually is limited in bike shops and sporting goods stores, like Decathalon.

I was in Paris in July and found a nice shop jersey at cycles laurent http://www.cycleslaurent.com/
Its a nice little shop too, if your ever in the area. The site is in French but they were able to assist me in english when I was there.
in Paris, cycles laurent is the place for funky jerseys. you won't find too mant obscure club jerseys since you need to belong to a club to wear these -- they aren't sold in shops. if you want to place an order, here is the web site of the travelling jersey shop that you can find at the start of most larger cyclosportives, it's in Brittany so if she is going to be near Hennebont/Lorient, she could just drop in: http://www.cycles-marcarini.com/
