Any preferences guys and gals? Price difference is negligible, maybe $5 on ebay, and about $12 retail. For those that run Chorus cassettes with Record or Super Record gruppos, do you also pick Chorus chains? I recently bought a 2010 R11 gruppo and ordered a Chorus cassette separately but still need the chain. Question I have is does Record and Chorus cassettes/chains wear differently and so is it better to stick with the same models? Thanks all.

the difference...

The only difference is Record has hollow pins. There should be no difference in longevity, just a small weight savings with Record. It should be easier to peen the end of a hollow pins, so there's nohting to suggest the a Chorus chain would be stronger. When chains "break" it's nearly always a plate that gets pulled off the end of a pin.

I would buy Chorus, just because it's cheaper.

Hell buy a Centaur or KMC chain FWIW...I am running a Record chain now, but only because that's all the LBS had and I needed one quick--that sucker was shiny for a day or two and it was $$.
